Tejashwi Yadav Declared CM Candidate (Credit:Top Indian News)
National News: The announcement of Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Ministerial face of the Grand Alliance has opened a fresh battlefield in Bihar politics. NDA leaders wasted no time in dismissing the move as forced and uninspiring. Chirag Paswan, speaking at a rally in Muzaffarpur’s Bochahan, claimed that the Grand Alliance had collapsed the moment it declared Tejashwi as leader. He argued the decision lacked public trust and predicted that voters would reject it outright.
Chirag Paswan delivered an impassioned speech supporting his party’s candidate Baby Kumari, reminding voters of her independent victory in 2015. He connected her journey with the legacy of his late father Ramvilas Paswan, appealing emotionally to the crowd. He declared that only an NDA government, to be formed on November 14, could secure Bihar’s future. According to Chirag, if the opposition won even a few seats, they would spend the next five years blaming the government instead of serving the people.
Chirag asserted that an unmistakable NDA wave was sweeping through Bihar. He said everywhere he traveled, the public sentiment was one-sided in favor of Narendra Modi and NDA’s promises. He contrasted this with the Grand Alliance, which he described as disorganized and plagued by infighting. He further underlined that Prime Minister Modi had placed Bihar at the top of his development priority list, promising that a double-engine government would transform the state as it did in Uttar Pradesh.
In his speech, Chirag invoked Baby Kumari’s personal journey. He recalled how Ramvilas Paswan himself once considered giving her a ticket in 2015, though circumstances prevented it. Despite that, she won independently, showing her deep connection with the people of Bochahan. Chirag urged voters to elect her again, calling it a true tribute to his late father. The appeal struck a sentimental chord with the crowd, highlighting the emotional strategy in NDA’s campaign.
Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary added fuel to the fire by directly targeting RJD supremo Lalu Yadav. He accused Lalu of forcing Tejashwi’s candidacy upon allies, claiming the Congress and others were sidelined. According to Samrat, the Grand Alliance’s choice was not democratic but dictated by family politics. He reminded voters of Lalu’s long rule, which he said kept Bihar backward. This, he argued, proved that the Grand Alliance could never deliver progress for the state.
Samrat Choudhary escalated his criticism, alleging that Lalu Yadav had received multiple chances from the people but wasted them through corruption and misrule. He claimed that Bihar was held hostage under Lalu’s leadership, and now the same family was trying to impose Tejashwi on the state. He described Lalu as a registered criminal and insisted that Bihar’s people would never accept such leadership again. His harsh words drew loud support from the NDA crowd.
With NDA leaders mounting coordinated attacks, the Bihar election battle has grown more intense. The Grand Alliance’s announcement of Tejashwi as CM candidate has united NDA leaders in an aggressive campaign strategy. Chirag Paswan is leveraging emotional connections, while Samrat Choudhary is targeting Lalu’s legacy of misrule. As polling day approaches, Bihar’s political climate is charged with fiery exchanges, emotional appeals, and promises of transformation. Voters now hold the key to deciding which narrative—legacy or development-will prevail in the state’s future.
